Noida: The residents of Noida are concerned over the sudden rise in the number of coronavirus patients in Delhi-NCR. They said that the people should follow the prescribed protocol to control human transmission.

They suggested that the administration should ensure strict adherence of laid out guidelines to check the spread of deadly disease.

Confederation of NCR Residents Welfare Association (CONRWA) has written to Suhas LY, District Magistrate and Alok Singh, Commissioner of Police, Gautam Budh Nagar, drawing his attention in enforcing the protocol more effectively.

PS Jain, President of (CONRWA) said that the festival season is in progress. People are being seen roaming freely without wearing masks in the city. He said, “The administration should make people wear masks without any fail.”

The confederation also drew attention of the administration towards the sudden spike in the number of coronavirus cases.

Jain said, “Residents staying in the city go to offices in Delhi every day from Noida. They also returned home from there where it is being said that the city of Delhi is going through a third wave of Covid-19 pandemic. In such a situation, those who have been moving between the cities should take extra precautions as they may become a bridge for transmission of the virus.”

To control it, the confederation has given suggestions for early implementation of the protocol. Jain said, “The administration should speed up the awareness program to sensitise residents and also penalise those who are defaulting it. This would help in controlling the spread of viruses.”
