Spring Meadows: Residents hassled with closure of electricity recharging system

Greater Noida: Residents of Spring Meadows, an upscale residential society in Techzone, Greater Noida West, on Saturday complained against closure of electricity recharging systems.

They complained that the developer has suddenly closed the recharging systems, which led to huge inconvenience for them. They said that rounds of negotiations with the developer in the past to solve the problem went vain as it was not solved.

They have now escalated the issue with city police with a request of looking into it for getting it solved. In a letter to station house officer of Bisrakh, Gautam Budh Nagar, residents complained that they have been facing difficulty due to closure of electricity recharging systems from November 2.

The advance paid in prepaid electricity reading meters is about to exhaust. If it gets finished, they will have to survive without electricity supply.

They also informed the police that the developer was not providing basic services properly, for which, they have been charged exorbitantly at the rate of Rs 2.36 per square feet. Observing no improvement in services, the residents have stopped paying common area maintenance charges to the developer.

The residents argued before the developer that they would start paying the maintenance charge only on the condition of getting satisfactory services. “We will not pay until the services are improved,” residents said.

They told the police that instead of improving the services, the developer has now stopped giving electricity recharging services. It is likely to cause bigger problems for them.

One of them said, “We urged the police to look into the matter and direct the developer to solve it.”
