Noida: Ahead of the next hearing date for final disposal of the DND flyway case, the residents demanded from Noida Authority to terminate its concession agreement with Noida Toll Bridge Company Ltd, a private agency.
In a letter written to Ritu Maheshwari, Chief Executive Officer, Noida Authority, AN Dhawan, Chief Patron, Janshakti Sewa Samiti said that concession agreement between Noida Authority and Noida toll company should be terminated.
They argued that it would be in public interest if the current status of DND flyway is maintained forever as it is free from toll tax. The flyway is free for all.
They stated that it would be of authority's benefit as the agency claimed compensation despite recovering all investment made for development of the flyway. It would cause an extra financial burden on the state treasury.
Considering all the above points, it would be in the public interest if an action for terminating the concession agreement is initiated well before the court proceedings begin for final disposal of the agency matter.
