Delhi reports 7,340 new coronavirus cases, 96 deaths
New Delhi: Delhi on Saturday reported 7,340 new cases, taking the cumulative tally to 4,82,170. In the last two weeks, over 6,000 new cases have been reported on a daily basis.
The number of new cases reported came out of 49,645 tests conducted on the previous day. Of which, 19,635 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 30,010 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 14.78 per cent.
Delhi reported 96 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the toll to 7,519. 91 deaths were reported on Friday, 104 on Thursday, 85 on Wednesday, 83 on Tuesday, 71 on Monday and 77 on Sunday.
7,117 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 4,30,195 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 89.22 per cent.
The new cases outnumbered the recoveries on Saturday. Active cases increased by 127 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 44,456 active cases. A total of 27,428 patients are in home isolation in the national capital.
Out of the total 16,636 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 7,959 beds are vacant.
