Noida: Residents of highrises, especially in sectors 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, and 79, Noida, need not bother to lodge complaints for getting a solution to sewage water flooding in the open areas anymore as the issue has now been solved.
The Noida Industrial Development Authority has recently claimed that it has connected the sewage collection pipelines with the main line or master pipeline. Now, sewage of above mentioned residential pockets and others would be supplied to a sewage treatment plant for treatment before release into the Yamuna River.
It is expected that the move would solve the issue of sewage flooding in open or in a park. As the line was not connected with the main line, developers of residential societies were pumping out untreated sewage in the open or were seen flooding out in vacant plots near their projects.
It was causing unhygienic conditions and was in violation of environment rules. As per the environment rules, only treated waste water is allowed to be channelised in Yamuna River.
It would now treat all waste water to ensure that it goes for treatment before release into the Yamuna River.
