New Delhi: Delhi on Monday reported 6,396 new cases, taking the cumulative tally to 4,95,598. The number of new cases reported came out of 49,031 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 16,600 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 32,431 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 13.04 per cent.
Delhi reported 99 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the toll to 7,812. 99 deaths were reported on Tuesday, 95 on Monday, 96 on Saturday, 91 on Friday and 104 on Thursday.
4,421 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 4,45,782 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 89.44 per cent.
The new cases outnumbered the recoveries by significant margin on Tuesday. Active cases increased by 1,876 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 42,004 active cases. A total of 25,585 patients are in home isolation in the national capital.
Out of the total 16,814 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 7,599 beds are vacant.
