New Delhi: The apex body of RWAs in Delhi, United Residents Joint Action (URJA) has written to the state government and suggested ways to safeguard people in the market in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic in the city.

URJA has suggested that the market should operate between odd number shops on odd days and even number shops on even days.

They also suggested increasing the operations timings from 9 am to 9 pm.

Another suggestion was to divide the office staff in two shifts i.e. pre-lunch and post-lunch.

The apex body of RWAs also emphasised on the importance of social distancing and said that there should be a safe distance between the two vendors.

They said that restaurants should operate with 50 per cent seating capacity with extended timings.
