New Delhi: Delhi on Sunday reported 6,746 new cases, taking the cumulative tally to 5,29,863. The number of new cases reported came out of 54,893 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 23,433 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 31,460 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 12.29 per cent.
121 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 8,391. 111 deaths were recorded on Saturday, 118 on Friday, 98 on Thursday, 131 on Wednesday and 99 on Tuesday.
6,154 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 4,81,260 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 90.82 per cent.
The new cases outnumbered the recoveries on Sunday. Active cases increased by 471 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 40,212 active cases.
Out of the total 17,365 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 7,947 are vacant.
