New Delhi: Delhi on Monday reported 4,454 new cases, taking the cumulative tally to 5,34,317. The number of new cases reported came out of 37,307 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 18,046 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 19,261 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 11.94 per cent.
121 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 8,512. 121 deaths were recorded on Sunday, 111 on Saturday, 118 on Friday, 98 on Thursday and 131 on Wednesday.
7,216 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 4,88,476 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 91.42 per cent.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases by significant margin on Monday. Active cases declined by 2,883 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 37,329 active cases.
Out of the total 17,553 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 8,089 are vacant.
