New Delhi: Delhi on Friday reported 5,482 new cases, taking the cumulative tally to 5,56,744. The number of new cases reported came out of 64,455 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 28,100 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 36,355 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 8.51 per cent.
98 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 8,909. 91 deaths were recorded on Thursday, 99 on Wednesday, 109 on Tuesday, 121 on Monday and 121 on Sunday.
5,937 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 5,09,654 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 91.54 per cent.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Friday. Active cases declined by 553 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 38,181 active cases.
Out of the total 18,287 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 9,372 are vacant.
