New Delhi: Delhi on Saturday reported 4,998 new cases, taking the cumulative tally to 5,61,742. The number of new cases reported came out of 69,051 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 33,147 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 35,904 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 7.24 per cent.
89 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 8,998. 98 deaths were recorded on Friday, 91 on Thursday, 99 on Wednesday, 109 on Tuesday and 121 on Monday.
6,512 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 5,16,166 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 91.88 per cent.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases by significant margin on Saturday. Active cases declined by 1,603 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 36,578 active cases.
Out of the total 18,389 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 9,793 are vacant.
