Inadequate security measures and lack of a fire-fighting system in Divine Meadows, a residential society in Sector 108, Noida, is giving residents sleepless nights.
Surendra Kushwaha, president of the home buyers’ association, said, “Sometime back, a fire incident took place in G-tower due to a short circuit. As there is no fire-fighting system, the incident became a major one. Residents have demanded the builder of Divine Meadows Apartments to put in place a fire-fighting system as soon as possible.”
Speaking of security, Kushwaha added, "There are only six security guards on duty. While three of them are present in the day shift, three are on duty in the night shift. There are only six CCTV cameras installed in the society and only one of them is in working condition. There is also no intercom facility in the society. With 450 families staying here, these things mater when security is concerned."
When City Spidey took up the matter with Madan Sinha, who represents the builder as the maintenance officer of Divine Meadows, he said that they have applied for the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the fire-fighting system from Noida Authority. He added, “The maintenance office is planning to increase the number of security guards and CCTV cameras in the society. All six CCTV cameras installed are working fine.”
