New Delhi: Delhi on Friday reported 4,067 new cases, taking the cumulative tally to 5,86,125. The number of new cases reported came out of 85,003 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 40,191 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 44,812 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 4.78 per cent.
73 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,497. 82 deaths were recorded on Thursday, 82 on Wednesday, 86 on Tuesday, 108 on Monday and 68 on Sunday.
4,862 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 5,48,376 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 93.55 per cent.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases by significant margin on Friday. Active cases declined by 868 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 28,252 active cases.
Out of the total 18,708 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 12,055 are vacant.
