New Delhi: Delhi on Saturday reported 3,419 new cases, taking the cumulative tally to 5,89,544. The number of new cases reported came out of 81,473 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 35,352 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 46,121 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 4.20 per cent.
77 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,574. 73 deaths were recorded on Friday, 82 on Thursday, 82 on Wednesday, 86 on Tuesday and 108 on Monday.
4,916 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 5,53,292 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 93.85 per cent.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases by significant margin on Saturday. Active cases declined by 1,574 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 26,678 active cases.
Out of the total 18,843 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 12,385 are vacant.
