New Delhi: Delhi on Wednesday reported 2,463 new cases, taking the cumulative tally to 5,99,575. The number of new cases reported came out of 72,079 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 32,976 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 39,103 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 3.42 per cent.
50 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,813. 57 deaths were recorded on Tuesday, 63 on Monday, 69 on Sunday, 77 on Saturday and 73 on Friday.
4,177 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 5,69,216 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 94.93 per cent.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases by a significant margin on Wednesday. Active cases declined by 1,764 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 20,546 active cases.
Out of the total 18,806 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 13,389 are vacant.
