Noida: Residents of Urbtech Xaviers, a highrise in Sector 168, Noida are an angry lot these days. They accused developers and officials of Noida Industrial Development Authority of functioning hand in gloves for allowing operation of commercial activities from the residential society.
They complained that the developer has allegedly roped in a private company for providing accommodation. The company is operating paying guest accommodation service from unsold inventories in the society.
Running commercial activities from a residential society is not permitted. But it is operational, despite it having been brought to the notice of the concerned officer. Residents pointed out that there are about twenty unsold inventories, in which college going students are staying.
However, the developer's official denied the charge. As per the official, there are no illegal commercial activities being operated from within the society as inventories have already been sold out to individuals buyers.
Residents also complained that about 600 families have already moved into their new homes in the society. But they are not getting basic services properly. It is causing huge inconvenience to them.
Residents complained that the developer has not taken a permanent electricity supply connection. They are being supplied power from the temporary power connection and allegedly charged exorbitantly. The developer has not purchased DG set for the society as he is providing back up service from a rented DG set.
