Noida: Closed gate reopens at Sector 61 metro station; residents relieved

Noida: Residents of Sector 70 and Sector 71 have finally been relieved as Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) reopened the gate at Sector 61 metro station in Noida.

Elated over the reopening of the gate by the metro administration, residents told that it would now be easy for them to go back and forth between these sectors.

The gate was closed down in March 2019. It was causing inconvenience to residents of these sectors. Observing inconveniences being faced by fellow residents of these sectors, residents had put requests before the administration for reopening the gate.

The administration ordered reopening of the gate on Wednesday. But it was forcefully closed by few residents of the sector.

Residents of Sector 70 and Sector 71 quickly brought the issue of closing the gate forcefully into the notice of the administration. Acting against the complaint, the officer concerned came out to solve the problem.

They have broken the lock of the gate and affixed a notice that this gate should not be closed again. They also warned that they would conduct an inquiry about forceful closure of the gate and intimated that action would be taken against the guilty.
