1,139 new coronavirus cases in Delhi; positivity rate slips to 1.30 pc
New Delhi: Delhi on Saturday reported 1,139 new cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,15,914. The number of new cases reported came out of 87,330 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 47,460 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 39,870 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 1.30 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate stands at 7.98 per cent.
32 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,251. 37 deaths were recorded on Friday, 35 on Thursday, 32 on Wednesday, 41 on Tuesday and 60 on Monday.
2,168 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 5,95,305 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 96.65 per cent.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Saturday. Active cases declined by 1,061 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 10,358 active cases.
Out of the total 18,770 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 15,655 are vacant.
