Delhi records 939 new coronavirus cases; positivity rate drops to 1.14 pc
New Delhi: Delhi on Tuesday reported 939 new cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,18,747. The number of new cases reported came out of 82,386 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 39,843 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 42,543 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 1.14 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate stands at 7.79 per cent.
25 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,329. 27 deaths were recorded on Monday, 26 on Sunday, 32 on Saturday, 37 on Friday and 35 on Thursday.
1,434 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 5,99,683 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 96.91 per cent.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Tuesday. Active cases declined by 520 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 8,735 active cases.
Out of the total 18,786 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 15,902 are vacant.
