Noida: If you are planning a party in the residential society to ring in the New Year, you better make an application for obtaining permission for the same from the local police. Failing which, you may have to pay a penalty this year.  

The city police have issued a guideline for holding the party on the eve of New Year. It states that those residents who are planning to organise a party, will have to make an application with the office of respective deputy commissioner of police for obtaining permission. 

The permission would be given on the condition of proper adherence to the standard operating protocol for prevention of spread of Covid-19 virus. They will also assure the police that a maximum of only 100 people will assemble at a time at the party venue. 

Alok Singh, commissioner of police, Gautam Budh Nagar advised residents that it would be safe if they celebrate the new year eve inside home as they can not come in contact with a Covid-19 positive patients. 

He said that an elaborate arrangement has been made to keep a watch on party functions to take place on the eve. 

These activities would also be monitored by drone cameras. If it is found that the function has been organised without obtaining permission, the city police will initiate stringent action against the defaulters.
