New Delhi: Delhi on Wednesday reported 677 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,24,795. The number of new cases reported came out of 84,680 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 44,221 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 40,459 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.80 per cent. The cumulative positivity declined to 7.28 per cent.
21 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,523. 28 deaths were recorded on Tuesday, 21 on Monday, 16 on Sunday, 23 on Saturday and 30 on Friday.
940 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,08,434 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 97.38 per cent.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Wednesday. Active cases declined by 284 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 5,838 active cases.
Out of the total 18,718 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 16,433 are vacant. A total of 2,788 patients are in home isolation.
