Greater Noida: Residents of Gaur City’s 14th Avenue, a highrise in Greater Noida West, wrote to Narendra Bhooshan, chief executive officer of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), demanding cleaning of chocked drains.

After receiving complaint from residents of the highrise, Annu Khan, president of Noida Extension Flat Owners Main Association (NEFOMA) lodged a complaint with the authority.

He told that many residents, who are also members of the association, had brought the issue into officers’ notice but necessary action is yet to be initiated.

Khan said that residents are complaining against the chocked drains around the highrise. They got completely blocked with sludge and non degredable waste, obstructing flow of waste water.

He informed that residents are also raising issue of health and hygienic, arising from the chocked drains in the area.

He said that these drains are open and the stray animals have been falling in the drains on many occasions in the past.

Considering above issues, the association demanded the authority to initiate immediate necessary action against the problems to get it solved.
