Delhi reports 574 new coronavirus infections; active cases decline to 5,511

New Delhi: Delhi on Thursday reported 574 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,25,369. The number of new cases reported came out of 81,750 tests conducted on the previous day.

Of which, 43,780 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 37,970 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.70 per cent. The cumulative positivity declined to 7.22 per cent.

13 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,536. 21 deaths were recorded on Wednesday, 28 on Tuesday, 21 on Monday, 16 on Sunday and 23 on Saturday.

888 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,09,322 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 97.43 per cent.

The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Thursday. Active cases declined by 327 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 5,511 active cases.

Out of the total 18,718 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 16,622 are vacant. A total of 2,761 patients are in home isolation.
