New Delhi: Delhi on Friday reported 585 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,25,954. The number of new cases reported came out of 80,565 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 46,228 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 34,337 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.73 per cent. The cumulative positivity declined to 7.16 per cent.
21 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,557. 13 deaths were recorded on Thursday, 21 on Wednesday, 28 on Tuesday, 21 on Monday and 16 on Sunday.
717 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,10,039 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 97.45 per cent.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Friday. Active cases declined by 153 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 5,358 active cases.
Out of the total 17,943 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 15,871 are vacant. A total of 2,616 patients are in home isolation.
