The newly formed RWA of Om Apartments, a residential society in Sector 14, Dwarka, has decided its agenda for the society’s development.
The team will focus on sanitation this monsoon to make sure the society is free of diseases such as dengue and malaria. Rakesh Godara, president of the society, said, "We are focussing on cleaning and waterlogging. We want to make our society free of dengue and malaria, as there were a few cases last year. We are also spreading awareness about it."
RWA members met the area councillor over waterlogging and cleaning of drains. They have also sent a request for fogging to check breeding of mosquitoes. “We met the area councillor recently and informed her about our problems. We brought up the issue of the garbage-dumping spot near our society, which is not cleared regularly. Though she assured us of appropriate action, we will be following up on the subject until it gets resolved,” said Godara.
The RWA was recently elected with Godara as the president, SN Mishra as the vice-president and Dinesh Singh as the general secretary. Yogesh Sharma was elected for the post of treasurer while Manoj Garg became the cultural secretary.
