494 new coronavirus cases in Delhi; positivity rate at 0.73 pc

New Delhi: Delhi on Saturday reported 494 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,26,448. The number of new cases reported came out of 67,364 tests conducted on the previous day.

Of which, 39,591 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 27,773 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.73 per cent. The cumulative positivity declined to 7.11 per cent.

14 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,571. 21 deaths were recorded on Friday, 13 on Thursday, 21 on Wednesday, 28 on Tuesday and 21 on Monday.

496 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,10,535 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 97.45 per cent.

The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Saturday. Active cases declined by 16 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 5,342 active cases.

Out of the total 15,121 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 13,116 are vacant. A total of 2,752 patients are in home isolation.
