Delhi reports 519 new coronavirus cases; positivity rate at 0.65 pc

New Delhi: Delhi on Saturday reported 519 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,29,801. The number of new cases reported came out of 80,275 tests conducted on the previous day.

Of which, 45,079 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 35,196 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.65 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate declined to 6.76 per cent.

12 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,666. 10 deaths were recorded on Friday, 19 on Thursday, 16 on Wednesday, 12 on Tuesday and 12 on Monday.

603 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,15,452 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 97.72 per cent.

The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Saturday. Active cases declined by 96 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 3,683 active cases.

Out of the total 12,166 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 10,709 are vacant. A total of 1,652 patients are in home isolation.
