New Delhi: A constable of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is getting a lot of accolades for being proactive and saving a man's life by his presence of mind at a Delhi Metro station.

The constable Vikas was deployed at Dabri metro station when he saw a man shivering and falling on his face. Vikas immediately rushed to the man and started giving cadiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to him.

The man regained his consciousness. He was asked if he needed any medical assistance but he refused to take it.

The incident was captured on the CCTV camera installed at the station. The footage went viral on the social media and the constable is getting heaps of praises for his kind gesture.

“The constable noticed that the passenger was unconscious and not breathing properly, and due to the sudden fall had sustained injury to his face/mouth. Immediately, he started giving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the passenger,” a CISF statement said.

“The shift-in-charge of CISF and Station Controller reached the spot and asked the passenger for further medical assistance, but he denied to go to the hospital,” it added.
