New Delhi: In a special meeting conducted on Tuesday, the standing committee of South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has proposed to start yoga classes at parks falling in its jurisdiction.
The proposal also has the provision to hire yoga trainers to give lessons to people.
The trainers will be hired to teach yoga lessons to the people. Yoga classes will be conducted in the parks of South Delhi.
The SDMC said in a statement that a minimal fee will be charged for the lessons given to the park visitors.
On the other hand, the standing committee rejected the hike in property tax slab that was proposed in the budget. The panel rejected it by saying that it does not want to put additional tax burden on people.
