Coronavirus active cases drop below 2,000 mark in Delhi; positivity rate 0.26 pc
New Delhi: Delhi on Saturday reported 197 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,33,739. The number of new cases reported came out of 76,868 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 47,467 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 29,401 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.26 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate declined to 6.16 per cent.
10 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,799. 7 deaths were recorded on Friday, 8 on Thursday, 10 on Wednesday, 10 on Tuesday and 8 on Monday.
367 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,21,060 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 97.99 per cent.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Saturday. Active cases declined by 180 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 1,880 active cases.
Out of the total 9,053 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 8,199 are vacant. A total of 806 patients are in home isolation.
