Delhi reports 183 new coronavirus cases; positivity rate at 0.27 pc
New Delhi: Delhi on Saturday reported 183 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,34,956. The number of new cases reported came out of 68,967 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 42,775 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 26,192 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.27 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate declined to 5.94 per cent.
8 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,849. 6 deaths were recorded on Friday, 6 on Thursday, 9 on Wednesday, 7 on Tuesday and 5 on Monday.
290 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,22,671 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 98.06 per cent.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Saturday. Active cases declined by 115 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 1,436 active cases.
Out of the total 8,621 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 7,928 are vacant. A total of 543 patients are in home isolation.
