Dwarka: Green Circle along with volunteers of Robinhood Army (RHA) organised a plantation drive on Saturday to pay tribute on Mahatma Gandhi's memorial day.
Neem, Bargad, Peepal and Sesame tree saplings were planted.
Along with V Selvarajan, Secretary of Green Circle, AK Saigal, Vishal Lall, Muralidhar, Arvind Agarwal and Munish participated in the drive.
It was followed by a free distribution of food to the pavement dwellers. Further, it was decided to water the plants regularly and provide tree guards to the planted trees.
About 8 volunteers from RHA participated in the shramdaan. The waterbody needs more attention since now it's being used as an open toilet and buffalo shed. Water level is very low.
