Residents say need a boundary wall to stop illegal activities

RESIDENT SPEAK: Garbage, open defecation plague Dwarka’s Sector 8

Dwarka: A vacant plot in Dwarka’s Sector 8 has been giving the residents a nightmare for months now. In addition, the absence of a boundary wall has made matters even worse. Many illegal activities are carried out in the plot.

As the situation worsened, I wrote a letter to the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), bringing the issue to their notice.

The vacant plot has been serving as garbage dumping ground, which is illegal. The residents are also hassled because the corners of the plot are used as urinals. The plot is also used as an unauthorised car parking. The biggest issue faced by the residents is the use of the plot as a hub to drink alcohol and use drugs which makes the area unsafe for the residents.

Residents of lane B188-B200, Block B in Sector 8 have faced numerous issues. A physical barrier to demarcate property lines and keep intruders at bay has now become essential.

I request the DDA to make a proper boundary wall and put up a sign in order to stop these activities at the earliest.
