New Delhi: After the announcement of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to exclude subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from compulsory list for admissions in B.Tech and B.E., Twitterati started sharing various memes. The social media platform was quite abuzz after the recent announcement.

Now, students don’t have to study these compulsory subjects in high school for taking admission at undergraduate level. According to the rules, the higher education institutions have to admit students who have not studied Physics and Mathematics in schools. However the (PCM) is compulsory for most engineering subjects like Computer Science.

AICTE Chairman Anil Sahasrabudhe said, “The flexibility in the eligibility criteria for admission to B.Tech and B.E. courses have been introduced to encourage students from diverse backgrounds to apply and reduce the pressure on students to study topics that are not crucial to their programme.”

With the development, Twitterati started sharing hilarious memes on Twitter.
