Dwarka: Pothole-ridden road continues to be nightmare for commuters

Dwarka: A stretch of road between Venkateshwar International School and Golokdham Market has been in bad shape in Sector 10, Dwarka. The road is full of crater-sized potholes.

The turn near Golokdham market is especially dangerous as potholes are deep and spread all over the road. People commuting on two-wheelers often find it difficult to navigate as the road is also deprived of proper light. The road is full of trees which obstruct the light and street lights are also defunct.

“I have been trying to get in touch with the authorities since January. I tried to contact them but they haven't been responding. We have seen one-to-many accidents on this road. People get injured because of this pothole-ridden road. It is completely destroyed and we need someone to fix it immediately,” President of Suruchi Apartments Mohini Sharma said in her statement.

When CitySpidey asked about the frequent accidents on the road, Sharma added, “People usually sort out the matter among themselves. But I have witnessed many accidents here, I remember seeing one accident which happened two months ago.”

CitySpidey got in touch with area councillor Kamaljeet Sehrawat. She said that she has taken cognizance of the matter and will do the needful.
