FedAOA has decided to dedicate India's 70th Independence Day to women. The federation has encouraged all societies under it to ensure that flag hoisting is done by the society's young female residents. Those interested are to register their names at the respective AOA offices. The AOAs have also decided to felicitate successful women from several fields.
Several AOAs have lauded the federation's initiative.
Speaking to City Spidey, Ravindra Saini, president of Jaipuria Sunrise Greens AOA, said that the resident body had already issued a notice encouraging residents to participate in various events along with their daughters.
Kapil Singhal, president of Niho Scottish Gardens AOA, told City Spidey that their society had also decided to dedicate the day to women.
