Guru Harkrishan Polyclinic
New Delhi: Guru Harkrishan Polyclinic is an almost 50 years old health center situated in Bangla Sahib Gurdwara's basement, where you can avail very cheap diagnostic tests from now onwards. The facility was inaugurated on March 11, 2021. Sacha Sauda of just Rs 20 has turned into a benefit for the underprivileged!
People from economically weaker sections can get their MRI, CT- Scan, Digital X-RAY, and other diagnostic tests at just Rs 50. Kidney dialysis can also be done in just Rs 600. Pathology tests are accessible at minimum prices from Rs 20 to 700. They can register themselves offline at the counter by showing a BPL card, (below the poverty line) or any other government proof to signify weak economical status.
Those who fall out of the poverty line can also get their treatment done at lower prices as compared to the market and can save their expenditure. Bhupinder Singh, chairman of the hospital said, “Decisions for these new health services were taken by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee during the time of coronavirus and got a helping hand from a non-Sikh family.”
“Approximately 10-12 new machines, imported from Germany, are installed in the hospital and 5-6 machines will be installed soon in coming months,” he added. The hospital has a team of 50+ doctors currently and 1,400 to 1,500 patients visit the hospital daily.
Harish Kumar, a resident of East Delhi who visited the hospital to experience these new health services said, “Rates for blood tests are very low and it feels good to see the care and emphasis given by the hospital on such needs.”
