Gurugram: On World Happiness Day, Sudha Society Foundation in Gurugram donated cheques to three needy girls to continue their education. As per the society, Covid-19 pandemic has made things difficult for many families especially the underprivileged section.
Chairman of Sudha Society, GK Bhatnagar said, “Many families are struggling to make ends meet during the pandemic. This puts a threat on the education of children. We started this initiative to educate the girl child.”
The cheques were donated to three needy girls Vanshika, Anjali and Varsha, they all are students of Elegant Childrens Academy, Naya Gaon Bhondsi Village in Gurugram. “The initiative was taken to bring happiness in lives of needy families on World Happiness Day,” Bhatnagar added.
On the occasion, Dr Geetanjali Dua, Executive Director, Family Coach also counseled and motivated these girls and their families towards education.
