Delhi Metro intensifies measures to enforce strict compliance of Covid norms

New Delhi: As the coronavirus cases are again on the rise in the national capital, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to intensify the measures to reinforce the norms inside stations and trains.

According to the existing protocol, passengers are required to enter the stations after thermal screening, hand sanitisation, face covered with a mask and also maintain social distancing.

Now, entry at all the stations will be regulated especially at major stations like Rajiv Chowk, Barakhamba Road, Central Secretariat, Patel Chowk, ITO etc during morning and evening peak hours.

Of late, people have been found flouting the coronavirus norms inside the trains. The DMRC said that the number of flying squads and the frequency of checking drives is being increased to ensure that the Covid safety protocol is strictly adhered by the passengers and offenders will be penalised on the spot.

CitySpidey has been bringing this issue of commuters blatantly flouting the Covid norms inside the trains in last few days.
