Delhi reports 1,881 new coronavirus cases; positivity rate shoots up to 2.35%

New Delhi: The Capital on Sunday recorded 1,881 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,57,715. The number of new cases reported came out of 79,936 tests conducted on the previous day.

At least 53,422 RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 26,514 rapid antigen tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate stood at 2.35 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate was at 4.57 per cent.

Nine deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 11,006.

A total of 952 patients have recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,39,164 in the national capital. Currently, there are 7,545 active cases in the city.

Out of the total 5,759 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 4,361 are vacant. A total of 4,237 patients are in home isolation.
