New Delhi: As the Covid cases are rising at a rapid pace in Delhi, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has introduced a toll-free number which will be available 24X7 in response to the complaints about garbage not being picked up from houses of Covid +ve cases.

North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) also plans to take necessary actions in the wake of the same. The step will help in garbage collection from the houses of Covid positive cases.

Earlier also, such problems were being reported and necessary actions were delayed. In order to not repeat the same, this step has been taken. The toll free number is 011-40988800 and is being circulated in the groups.

According to Ravi Jaitley, General Secretary of Seniors Hub Dwarka and a resident of Harshukh Apartments, Sector 7, Dwarka, “The number is being shared in groups very actively. We have received it and it is indeed a good step.”
