Earth Day: Let us aware people about climate change with PicsArt sticker

New Delhi: Earth Day is celebrated on the 22nd April of every year to promote environmental awareness and conservation. PicsArt has launched a range of special stickers, backgrounds, and  templates to commemorate Earth Day with an aim to raise awareness around climate change.

The new tools were created in line with this year's theme “Restoring Our Earth,” and with the Government of India's Green India Mission that highlights the importance of conserving forests and other ecosystems.

With the launch of these stickers, templates, and backgrounds, PicsArt aims to connect with its millennial users and spread awareness around the need for protecting our natural resources.

These stickers will  also allow PicsArt creators to create unique digital art to promote awareness on this Earth Day for a cleaner, greener, and healthier Earth. For the first time, PicsArt has also introduced new Swachh Bharat stickers with the aim of promoting a cleaner and greener India.

“Nature is the key to everything. But with rapid development and other changes around the world, concerning issues like climate change and global warming have become top priorities. The pandemic has also made us realise that it is important to maintain a balance in nature. To achieve that balance, everybody needs to work together towards sustainable development and climate conservation. Creating awareness can make a huge difference during times like this. PicsArt believes in being a creative medium of this much-needed change and we are doing our bit in this direction,” said Ravish Jain, Country Head at PicsArt.

Climate change has already begun to impact our planet in more ways than we can think. Temperatures continue to rise throughout the planet and we are experiencing changes in precipitation patterns as we have never seen before. The main cause of these catastrophic effects on our planet is pollution.

Let’s know few points about how to deal with climate change and stop global warming:

1. Power your home with renewable energy.

Replace your light bulbs with energy-efficient light bulbs to help you save electricity too.

2. Recycle

Be sure to collect your discarded paper, glass, plastic, and electronics to your local recycling centre and say no to plastic.

3. Respect and protect green spaces

Don’t cut the greenery around you. Plus, plants and trees are awesome places to spend time with.

4. Make your commute green

Riding your bike or using public transportation to work is also incredibly helpful to the environment and is a great method to do exercise

5. Educate yourself and others

The importance of educating others about climate change cannot be overstated in our modern society. There are many platforms for us to utilise that can allow us to spread our message easily. Whether you use word of mouth or social media, there are always ways to educate others on what climate change is doing to our planet. You can help protect the planet by educating others about the dangers of climate change and how to act against it.

With the help of PicsArt's advanced editing tools, more and more people can now support and celebrate Earth Day while also creating awareness to educate people about climate change and preserve the planet for future generations.
