Dwarka: With Covid-19 cases on the rise, everyone is coming together to arrange various resources for those in need. Dwarka Kalibari, located at Sec 12, is striving to be there for the covid affected families and individuals. They have decided to provide pure vegetarian lunch (rice, chapati, dal, two types of vegetables, salad) to corona-affected households.
At this point, arranging meals is one of the prime difficulties for those affected by Covid and hence people are coming forward to help others. This food distribution initiative is for Dwarka sub-city only. Dwarka Kalibari recognises the plight of corona-affected families and hence today, it supported them by providing lunch packets to 125 people.
The food is delivered at the society gate of the patient between 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Jayant Ghosh, General Secretary of Dwarka Kalibari said, “Yes, we are distributing ready-to-eat lunch in the disposable pack to the covid affected families at society gates and we prepare the meal hygienically under close supervision.”
“We are happy that with the blessings of Ma Kali, DKB could assess the main concern of Corona-affected families during this second wave and launched a program of delivering nutritious and complete meals to the doorsteps of Dwarka residents. Today DKB supported the covid affected families by providing lunch packets to 149 people by 12:30 pm. The overwhelming response since the last four days inspired us to continue this service for some time on pre-booking,” he added.
This is not the first time Dwarka Kalibari has come forward to help, last year as well, Dwarka Kalibari distributed 50,000 dry rations, cooked meals to labor and poorer sections last year. They received huge appreciation from government machinery, press, and media.
