New Delhi: The Capital reported 27,047 new coronavirus cases on Friday, taking the cumulative tally to 11,49,333. It was the thirteenth consecutive day when more than 20,000 new coronavirus cases were reported from the city.

The city reported 24,235 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, 25,986 on Wednesday, 24,149 on Tuesday, 20,201 on Monday, 22,933 on Sunday and 24,103 on Saturday.

The number of new cases reported came out of 82,745 tests conducted on the previous day. At least 62,734 RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 20,011 rapid antigen tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate was recorded at 32.69 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate was 6.70 per cent, slightly higher than a day before.

The city of Delhi is witnessing a high number of fatalities everyday. On Friday, Delhi recorded 375 fatalities, taking the death toll to 16,147 in the national capital.

Delhi recorded 395 deaths on Thursday, 368 on Wednesday, 381 on Tuesday, 380 on Monday, 350 on Sunday, 357 on Saturday and 348 on Friday.

A total of 25,288 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 10,33,825 in the national capital. The active cases increased to 99,361 from 97,977 on the previous day.

As far as vaccination drive is concerned, a total of 74,250 people received vaccines in the last 24 hours. A total of 42,917 people received the first dose of the vaccine whereas 31,333 people received their second dose. So far, 32,07,573 persons have received vaccines in the national capital.

Out of the total 20,938 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 1,199 are vacant. The tally of people in home isolation declined to 51,616 from 53,440 on Thursday.
