New Delhi: Today marks the onset of the third phase of Covid-19 vaccination in India. Everyone of the age 18 and above are now eligible to get vaccinated. A lot of people have already registered themselves for vaccination.

However, people even above the age of 45 haven’t been able to get vaccinated yet because of the shortage of vaccines in hospitals in the national capital. It has been observed that many private hospitals have had a shortage of vaccines for the last two days.

There was no vaccination at all in some hospitals on Thursday and on Friday, a delay in starting the process of vaccination was observed. Also, a lot of people have received messages regarding rescheduling their vaccination because of the lack of vaccines in hospitals.

The situation is also affecting those who have scheduled their second dose of vaccination in the coming days. They are worried that if the problem is not resolved within due time, their first dose of the vaccine will also get wasted.

According to the reports from Manipal Hospital, Dwarka, there hasn’t been a vaccine supply in the hospital. No vaccination took place there on Thursday. In Aakash Healthcare as well, there is a shortage of vaccines but the vaccination drive hasn’t stopped completely there.

People are worried because of the same as they receive messages regarding rescheduling of their appointments. A total of 31,761 people got vaccinated on Thursday in Delhi and a total of 55,718 people got vaccinated on Wednesday.
