New Delhi: Delhi again saw daily deaths in excess of 300 due to coronavirus. The city reported 341 deaths on Friday, taking the toll to 18,739. The Capital recorded 335 deaths on Thursday, 311 on Wednesday, 338 on Tuesday, 448 on Monday, 407 deaths on Sunday, and 412 on Saturday.

The city reported 19,832 new coronavirus cases on Friday, taking the cumulative tally to 12,92,867. Delhi reported 19,133 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, 20,960 on Wednesday, 19,953 on Tuesday, 18,043 on Monday, 20,394 on Sunday, and 25,219 on Saturday.

The number of new cases reported came out of 79,593 tests conducted on the previous day. At least 65,663 RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 13,930 rapid antigen tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate was recorded at 24.92 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate was 7.31 per cent, slightly higher than a day before.

A total of 19,085 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 11,83,093 in the national capital. The active cases increased to 91,035 from 90,629 on the previous day.

As far as vaccination drive is concerned, a total of 1,14,657 people received vaccines in the last 24 hours. A total of 80,306 people received the first dose of the vaccine whereas 34,351 people received their second dose. So far, 36,66,694 persons have received vaccines in the national capital.

Out of the total 22,097 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 2,175 are vacant. The tally of people in home isolation slightly declined to 50,425 from 50,562 on Thursday.
