New Delhi: After a long gap, Delhi reported daily deaths below the mark of 300. The city reported 273 deaths on Sunday, taking the toll to 19,344. The Capital recorded 332 deaths on Saturday, 341 on Friday, 335 on Thursday, 311 on Wednesday, 338 on Tuesday and 448 on Monday.
The city reported 13,336 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, taking the cumulative tally to 13,23,567. Delhi reported 17,364 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, 19,832 on Friday, 19,133 on Thursday, 20,960 on Wednesday, 19,953 on Tuesday and 18,043 on Monday.
The number of new cases reported came out of 61,552 tests conducted on the previous day. At least 49,787 RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 11,765 rapid antigen tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate was recorded at 21.67 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate was 7.43 per cent, slightly higher than a day before.
A total of 14,738 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 12,17,991 in the national capital. The active cases declined to 86,232 from 87,907 on the previous day.
As far as vaccination drive is concerned, a total of 1,29,142 people received vaccines in the last 24 hours. A total of 90,289 people received the first dose of the vaccine whereas 38,853 people received their second dose. So far, 38,75,636 persons have received vaccines in the national capital.
Out of the total 22,545 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 2,633 are vacant. The tally of people in home isolation slightly increased to 52,263 from 49,865 on Saturday.
