Dwarka: Construction of 346 MIG flats by DDA under way

As part of its housing projects, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) began the construction of 346 MIG flats in Sector 16B, Dwarka, and work is under way at the site.

The whole project is being developed on an 18,000-sq m area at an estimated cost of Rs 109 crore. According to the DDA, the project is one of its kind, as there will be many features different from the previous MIG projects constructed by the Authority.

KS Gill, executive engineer of the project, said, “This is a mutistorey housing project and will have nine towers. Six towers will have 12 floors and three will have 13 floors. It will be the first society of its kind to have double-basement parking. The project has DJB, Fire department, DUAC, Airport Authority and environment clearances. We will complete this project by June 2019.”

According to Gill, the project will have 4,000 sq m of green space. Speaking about the highlight of the project, Gill said, “The project is situated in one of the most accessible points in Dwarka. It is at a walking distance from the Sector 14 Metro station and is easily accessible by two arterial roads — 60 ft and 30 ft — on either side.”
