New Delhi: The daily deaths continue be around 300 in the national capital. Delhi reported 300 deaths on Wednesday, taking the toll to 20,310. The Capital recorded 347 deaths on Tuesday, 319 on Monday, 273 on Sunday, 332 on Saturday, 341 on Friday and 335 on Thursday.

The city reported 13,287 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, taking the cumulative tally to 13,61,986. Delhi reported 12,481 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, 12,651 on Monday, 13,336 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, 17,364 on Saturday, 19,832 on Friday and 19,133 on Thursday.

The number of new cases reported came out of 78,035 tests conducted on the previous day. At least 63,315 RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 14,720 rapid antigen tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate declined to 17.03 per cent from 17.76 per cent on the previous day. The cumulative positivity rate was 7.56 per cent, slightly higher than a day before.

A total of 14,071 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 12,58,951 in the national capital. The active cases declined to 82,725 from 83,809 on the previous day.

As far as vaccination drive is concerned, a total of 1,29,921 people received vaccines in the last 24 hours. A total of 84,139 people received the first dose of the vaccine whereas 45,152 people received their second dose. So far, 41,47,654 persons have received vaccines in the national capital.

Out of the total 23,202 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 4,469 are vacant. The tally of people in home isolation declined to 49,974 from 51,480 on Tuesday.
