FedAOA Ghaziabad elected its new board members at a meeting on Sunday.

The body elected DK Maurya (Niho Scottish Gardens) as the president; Ravinder Saini (Jaipuria Sunrise Greens) as the general secretary; Mohit Mishra (HRC Professional Hub) as the joint secretary; and Sandeep Sharma (Civitech Ramprastha Greens) as the vice-president; and Ravi Prakash (Amrapali Village) as the treasurer.

The federation also formed separate committees to decentralise its roles and responsibilities.

Speaking to City Spidey, Ravindra Saini, the new general secretary of the federation, said that the board would pursue existing problems such as sewer lines and drainage, and put more stress on builder-related issues such as maintenance and handover.

Residents and board members of FedAOA lauded Alok Kumar, the former president, for performing his duties to the best of his abilities. They also appreciated his stepping down to make way for new representatives of the body.

Rakesh Kumar, general secretary of Amrapali Village AOA, was one of the residents in favour of decentralisation of the FedAOA and was responsible for allocating roles to the new committees. "People with a will to serve society must join the committees," he said.
